Emily and Sam’s intimate celebration at Fox Hollow Farm was all about presence, connection, and letting the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest lead the way.
Planned by Seattle wedding planner 828 Planning, this heartfelt wedding proves you don’t need elaborate décor or over-the-top details to create something unforgettable. When the setting is stunning and the moments are meaningful, everything just falls into place.

A Pacific Northwest Wedding at Fox Hollow Farm
Emily and Sam knew they wanted a venue that captured the peaceful, scenic beauty of the PNW. Fox Hollow Farm offered exactly that: a setting where nature becomes part of the design.
Rather than filling the space with heavy décor, the couple chose to keep everything minimal and let the surroundings speak for themselves. The result was a wedding day that felt organic, grounded, and effortlessly romantic; a perfect example of how a nature-inspired wedding can feel elevated without being overdone.

A Ceremony Designed for Presence
One of the most meaningful parts of the day was the couple’s request for a fully unplugged ceremony. Guests were asked to silence their phones and put them away, creating space for everyone to be truly present.
Emily and Sam also reimagined the traditional wedding party setup. Instead of standing beside them, their wedding party was seated in the front row. The couple wanted their closest friends and family to experience the ceremony the same way their other guests did — as witnesses to the moment. This simple shift made the ceremony feel even more intimate and inclusive.
Emily walked down the aisle to an acoustic version of “The Only Exception” by Paramore, setting a soft, emotional tone that carried through the entire ceremony.

DIY Florals That Felt Personal and Intentional
To be thoughtful with their budget, Emily took on her florals herself. She created all of the bud vases and bouquets, showing how DIY wedding flowers can be both cost-effective and beautiful.
The arrangements added just the right touch of romance and texture without competing with the natural backdrop at Fox Hollow Farm. It was a perfect blend of personal effort and natural beauty.

A Relaxed Reception with Meaningful Touches
The reception carried the same warm, welcoming energy. Guests enjoyed a buffet-style dinner, encouraging mingling and a relaxed flow to the evening. Dessert came in the form of cupcakes, adding a fun, unfussy finish.
For their cake-cutting, Emily and Sam used a cake knife from the bride’s parents’ wedding — a sentimental heirloom that tied family history into their celebration.
On the head table, digital cameras were set out for guests to capture their own candid moments throughout the night. These spontaneous photos added a nostalgic and interactive element to the reception.

A Full-Circle Music Moment
Music told part of their love story. After walking down the aisle to the acoustic version of “The Only Exception,” the couple ended the evening with a last dance to the original version. It created a beautiful full-circle moment that was extremely special to them.
